City Clerk-Treasurer Kathleen Hunt-Cross performs many duties vital to the daily operations of City Hall. Listed below you will find many of the duties performed.

 

  • Record and edit the minutes of meetings and distribute to appropriate officials or staff members.

  • Respond to requests for information from the public, other municipalities, state officials, or state and federal legislative offices.

  • Perform general office duties, typing or proofreading correspondence, distributing or filing official forms, or scheduling appointments.

  • Issue public notification of all official activites or meetings.

  • Collaborate with other staff to assist in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, or priorities.

  • Plan and direct the maintenance, filing, safekeeping, and computerization of all municipal documents.

  • Prepare meeting agendas or packets of related information.

  • Perform budgeting duties, such as assisting in budget preparation, expenditure review, or budget administration.

  • Prepare ordinances, resolutions, or proclamations so that they can be executed, recorded, archived, or distributed.

  • Maintain fiscal records and accounts.

  • Serve as notary of the public.

  • Masintain and update documents, such as municipal codes or city chartes.

  • Prepare reports on civic needs.

  • Provide assistance with events, such as police department actions.

  • Research and write grants.

  • Manages requests to speak to Council.

  • Collects information and prepares Council agendas and other information for Council.

  • Collects, organizes, and maintains records.

  • Records and submits City Council meeting minutes.

  • Serves as administrative assistant to the Mayor

  • Records and pays city sales and use taxes

Payroll/ Human Resources Specialist

LaToria Aldridge

 

Human Resource Specialist LaToria Aldridge preforms many duties vital to the City of Gosnell everyday operation. Listed below are many of LaToria's duties she preforms. 

  • Calculate and provide staff with annual fringe benefit allowance;

  • reviews enrollment forms for accuracy

  • coordinates enrollment with third-party administrator

  • Ensure compliance with COBRA guidelines by preparing letters and other paperwork as directed

  • receives and records COBRA insurance premium payments

  • Coordinates health, life and disability insurance enrollments

  • Communicates with service providers concerning routine administration of program

  • Maintain personnel files

  • Keeps employee records up-to-date

  • Maintain listing of approved foundation positions along with assigned salary grade levels

  • Maintain employee handbook with updated resolutions and pertinent information, as needed

  • Prepare paperwork required to place employees on payroll and establish personnel file

  • Prepare LOPFI reports

  • Pay LOPFI premiums
